Pancho Villa’s restaurant coming to Victorville
VICTORVILLE -*- Pancho Villa’s Mexican Grill & Entertainment is expected to open a restaurant within two months in an empty building on Victorville’s “Restaurant Row” where On The Border used to be.
The Mexican restaurant has three sites in Fontana, providing not only food but live entertainment like mariachi shows with musicians and dancers, according to its website.
Victorville will be Pancho Villa’s first location outside Fontana.
Because the restaurant requires a stage for the live entertainment, it will take a month or so to remodel the interior of the Victorville building, Fontana restaurant manager Manuel Uribe said Friday. The new restaurant will hold about 300 people and host shows on weekends, Uribe said.
The building at 11620 Amargosa Road in Victorville has been vacant since the On The Border restaurant abruptly closed its doors in January 2009.
The Department of Alcohol Beverage Control put up a public notice of Pancho Villa’s application to sell alcoholic beverages on the building’s window Thursday.
